The recorded history of Karnataka goes back more than two millennia. Several great empires and dynasties have ruled over Karnataka and have contributed greatly to the history, culture and development of Karnataka. The impact of kingdoms of Karnataka origin have been felt over other parts of India also. The Chindaka Nagas of central India, Gangas of Kalinga (Odisha),[1] Rashtrakutas of Manyakheta,[2] Chalukyas of Vengi,[3] Yadava Dynasty of Devagiri were all of Kannada origin[4] who later took to encouraging local languages.

Historical Karnataka Tour

Day 1: Arrival / Bangalore

We will meet you on your arrival at the airport and assist you to check in to your hotel – relax for the rest of the evening .

Day 2: Bangalore Sightseeing

Sightseeing includes Bangalore palace, Tippu’s palace, Visvesvaraya museum, and lal bagh also stop at vidhan sabha for photo stop.

Day 3: Bangalore – Sri Rangapatna – Mysore

After breakfast drive to Cultural capital of Karnataka “Mysore” en route stop at Tippu sultan’s summer palace and his tomb also visit his old capital Sri Rangapatna city.

Day 4: Mysore Sightseeing

Mysore sightseeing main spotting is the Maharajah Palace,Lively palace is a must see place in India, also his museum and drive to Chamundeeswari temple to see the Mysore city aerial view. Mysore has the best of Victorian architecture.

Day 5: Mysore – Belur – Halebidu – Hassan

Today start your journey towards Hassan – the later day capital of hoysala dynasty en route stop at Belur Temple – which is the only one in this kind in the world, also visit Mind blowing Halebidu temple carvings over night stay at Hassan.

Day 6: Hassan – Hospet(Hampi)

Morning start your drive towards Capital of famous VIJAYANAGAR dynasty, this was very powerful dynasty in the southern part of India, On arrival check in to your hotel and enjoy the sunset on the boulders.

Day 7 : Hampi sightseeing

Hampi sightseeing includes Queens bath, Vithala & Virupaksha temple, Mind blowing rock chariot temples and musical pillars and end the day with Sun set on the River Tungabhadra River.

Day 8: Hampi – Badami

Badami – the Chalukya dynasty, has rich architecture wonders,On arrival check in to the hotel and later after lunch visit the cave (Rock) temple on the sunset.

Day 9: Badami Sightseeing (Pattadakal) - Bijapur

Pattadakal is the coronation place for chalukya’s dynasty kings, here you can see many beautiful rock carving temples. Also visit Aihole rock temples. Later drive to Bijapur on arrival directly visit Ibrahim Rauza.

Day 10: Bijapur – Gulberga

This morning visit Gol Gumbaz the only one this kind in India, later drive to Gulberga and post lunch visit Gulberga fort.

Day 11: Gulberga – Hyderabad

Today after breakfast drive to Ancient richest dynasty of India” Hyderabad and on arrival visit Golkonda fort and on the sunset drive past Hussain sagar lake and visit Birla temple.

Day 12: Hyderabad – Home

This morning visit Hyderabad landscape “Charminar” and Salarjung Museum and later drive to airport as per your flight time.
